An Atlanta native, I grew up in the deep South, graduating from college and graduate school. Between those two accomplishments, I fled to the Pacific Northwest. I began my IT career in a college library, before moving on to home improvement stores, income tax preparation, journalism, electric utilities, and logistics.

When not working or writing, I enjoy playing and watching sports, attending concerts, collecting stamps, playing card and role-playing games, and shopping for antiques.

I am married and live near Louisville, Kentucky.
